When you place an order to purchase items using our Website this is an offer by you to us to purchase those items. By ordering you are providing details which are true, accurate, current and complete and that the credit or debit card details are correct and your own. We must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted. Any promotional or discount offers we make are designed to be used independently and are not available in conjunction with any other offer.
From time to time we may issue Promotional Codes which can be applied during the order process. If the Promotional Code is active at the time the order is placed then we will deduct the value of the Promotional Code from the total value of your order. Only Promotional Codes issued by Joseph Dobson & Sons Ltd will be accepted and these cannot be exchanged for any other vouchers / codes. These Promotional Codes will only be accepted for purchases made On-Line using this web-site. We are unable to accept any Promotional Codes or Vouchers which may have been issued by other companies or web-sites even if they state they are to be used for the purchase of products manufactured by Joseph Dobson and Sons Ltd. All Promotional codes and Vouchers have no monetary value and are only valid during the dates stated on the Promotional Code and /or Voucher. Any expired Promotional Codes or Vouchers will not be accepted. Issuing of the Promotional Codes and Vouchers is entirely at the discretion of the company and may be withdrawn at any time.
All goods are invoiced in GBP sterling at the price prevailing at the time you place your order. Prices displayed on the Website include Value Added Tax which will be charged at the current rate. Currently we are only able to offer deliveries within the UK however if you live overseas and would like to place an order, please contact us for up to date information regarding the cost of postage to your overseas address. Whilst we try and ensure all details, descriptions and prices on the site are correct this is not guaranteed and we reserve the right not to deliver goods ordered in such circumstances.
Delivery is charged as an additional cost. Please refer to our Delivery Information for full details. Our delivery charges are set out during the order process.
Although we try to ensure that all prices on the Website are accurate, errors may occur from time to time. We will contact you as soon as possible if we discover an error in the price of items you have ordered. You will then have the option of either reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat your order in respect of the incorrectly priced item as cancelled.
Prices displayed on the Website apply to online purchases only. They are not indicative of the price of identical items purchased in retail outlets or by any other means. We reserve the right to update prices displayed on the website at any time.
Joseph Dobson & Sons Ltd. operates a high level of security and will not retain your card details. Should we need to issue a refund due to a price change or item being out of stock we will need to contact you to obtain your card details.
You may pay for the items which you order online by supplying your credit/debit card details on the secure online order form. If you are in receipt of a gift voucher, you will be prompted on the payment page to enter this code and your discount will be applied prior to payment being processed. We regret that we cannot accept cheques, or cash as payment online. However if you would prefer to pay by cheque, please do not order on-line. Please send your order to us with your cheque payment by post and once your payment has been cleared at the bank we will despatch your order.
When you place your order our system automatically asks your card issuer for authorisation for this amount. If we get a valid authorisation your card issuer will hold this value expecting a charge from us. Receipt of your credit card details and debit of payments does not constitute our acceptance of your order.
Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of data when communicating with Joseph Dobson & Sons Ltd. via email. Accordingly, please do not send us payment information by email. Unless we are fraudulent or negligent we will not be liable to you for any losses caused as a result of unauthorised access to the personal and transactional information you provide us when placing an order.
We only sell items to adults (i.e. those aged 18 or over). If you are under 18, you may use this website only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Some of the products available for sale on this Website may contain Sulphites and / or Butter and therefore may not be suitable for anyone with an allergy to these products. Please ensure you read the ingredients label carefully before consumption as we cannot be liable for the allergic effect of declared ingredients.
If you wish to cancel your order, please contact our Customer Services Department on 01422 372165 or by email on firstname.lastname@example.org. As soon as we receive notice of cancellation of an item and providing that the cancellation is received prior to dispatch we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item together with the item's normal postage charge. We cannot refund any priority, express or courier component of the postage charge once we have made such arrangements even if the items are not dispatched.
As we try to process orders as soon as possible, it may not always be possible to prevent an order from being dispatched. If your order has already been dispatched you may return the items to us and on receipt and in good condition we will refund you in accordance with our Returns Policy (below). Please note that you may be liable for the cost of returning the item(s) to us.
We reserve the right to cancel the contract (order) between us if:

The standard time for delivery to UK addresses is within 5 working days from date of despatch.
Specific day delivery to UK addresses
We regret that we are unable to offer specific dated delivery to locations within the Scottish highlands and islands.

Please note that if you order a number of items for delivery to the same address, they may be dispatched separately and we cannot guarantee delivery on the same day. If the items are not delivered within the time period we specify in the confirmation e-mail, please contact our Customer Services Department quoting the order reference contained in your Order Confirmation e-mail. Delivery occurs when the items are delivered to the delivery address you specified when placing your order. At this point, responsibility for loss, breakage and damage passes to you. Should you specify at point of order that goods are to be left with a neighbour; this is done so at your own risk. All goods must be signed for upon delivery.
We will endeavour to meet your requested delivery requirements but cannot accept responsibility for delays. All goods must be checked upon receipt and any quality issues, shortages or damage indicated in writing on the carrier’s delivery receipt at the time of delivery. Any claim made in respect of the above must be made to our Customer Services Department within 2 working days of delivery. No claims will be considered if we are not notified as stated.
Credits will not be given for goods returned without prior agreement and we reserve the right to recover carriage and handling costs where unauthorised returns are made.
Non delivery should be advised to our Customer Services Department within 7 working days of your receipt of our email to you advising you of the goods being dispatched.
The goods specified on this Website are compliant with United Kingdom regulations. Customers who purchase items for delivery to locations outside the United Kingdom do so at their own risk and have a personal responsibility regarding compliance with local laws.
The goods will be at your risk from the time of delivery.
